Title: Management Accountant

Service Summary

The Management Accountant is responsible for supporting the month-end close process and

maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, alongside managing day-to-day financial

transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable. This role ensures timely

and accurate processing of invoices and payments, while taking ownership of key

month-end activities such as journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting support. This

role will also help the invoice processing team with ongoing reconciliation work between the

loan book, bank statements and Xero.

Additionally, the position involves liaising with internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors to

ensure smooth financial operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly

organised, and capable of managing both transactional responsibilities and month-end

deliverables efficiently.

Service Deliverables

  • Month-End Close: Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments, reconcile key balance sheet accounts, and support the timely and accurate completion of monthly management accounts.
  • Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices and payments, ensure accruals/prepayments reflect the current financial position. Responsibility of ensuring all receipts and invoices are uploaded to Archa credit card platform on a timely basis (this involves liaising with key stakeholders of the business).
  • Client Liaison: Communicate with law firms and clients regarding invoices, payment confirmations, and refunds. 
  • Administrative Support: Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks and assist with financial documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in an accounts payable or accounts receivable role.
  • Solid Excel skills, including use of formulas and pivot tables
  • Experience using Xero accounting software is highly regarded.
  • Experience using CRM software.

  • 6+ years experience in accounting.
  • CPA is viewed favourably.
