About This Position
Support attorneys across insurance-defense and corporate matters in a remote, document-driven practice. You’ll manage filings, deadlines, and digital case materials with high accuracy, ensuring each matter stays organized, compliant with court requirements, and ready for attorney review at every stage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain digital matter files in the firm’s systems (Clio/NetDocuments or equivalent), including naming conventions, version control, and access hygiene
- Draft, proofread, format, and e-file pleadings and routine filings in WV, KY, and OH state and federal courts
- Prepare discovery materials, correspondence, engagement documents, and standard case templates aligned with firm style and court rules
- Manage calendaring and deadline control: docket monitoring, ticklers, and timely escalation when schedules or deadlines change
- Coordinate virtual hearings, mediations, and depositions (Teams/Zoom), including invitations, exhibits, logistics, and basic tech readiness
- Route documents for e-signature and remote notarization (DocuSign/Notarize), track completion, and file executed copies appropriately
- Request, track, and organize records (medical, employment, billing, and related materials) and maintain accurate production and follow-up logs
- Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and opposing counsel for scheduling and administrative coordination, escalating substantive issues to attorneys
Requirements:
- Paralegal certificate or associate degree required (bachelor’s preferred)
- 2+ years of litigation, insurance-defense, or comparable law firm support experience
- Demonstrated experience with state/federal e-filing portals and service requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and document management tools
- Strong written communication skills, proofreading accuracy, and document formatting discipline
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently, meet deadlines, and maintain clean task tracking
- Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information; comfort working in a process-driven, audit-ready environment
- US-based remote workspace with reliable high-speed internet and consistent Eastern Time overlap for meetings
