Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grant Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of grant applications, from research and proposal writing to submission and reporting. In this role, you will work closely with program managers, funding organizations, and internal teams to identify funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals, and ensure compliance with grant guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of grant processes, excellent writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify grant opportunities that align with organizational goals and programs.
- Write, edit, and submit grant proposals, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with funders, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Track and manage grant budgets, including reporting and documentation.
- Monitor grant-funded projects to ensure timely execution and compliance with funder guidelines.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, financial reports, and final grant reports.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on grant-related processes and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in grant writing, research, and administration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of grant regulations, compliance requirements, and funding sources.
- Ability to manage multiple grants and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with grant management software (e.g., Foundant, Fluxx).
- Experience with federal, state, and private foundation grants.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
