Victoria’s Fundación (Victoria’s Origén) is a Dutch ANBI-recognized nonprofit empowering people in transition through meaningful work, training, and community impact. Alongside our commercial branch, Victoria’s Gestión B.V, we operate a circular model: the BV builds sustainability, and the Foundation builds impact.

We’re seeking a Financial Controller to build and oversee the financial infrastructure connecting our Foundation and BV. This is a system-creation role beyond bookkeeping, where you’ll design, document, and optimize financial processes that ensure compliance, transparency, and scalability.

You’ll manage dual-entity financial operations, establish clear reporting structures, ensure Dutch tax and ANBI compliance, and provide leadership with accurate insights for decision-making.

Financial Architecture & Systems

  • Design and manage financial systems linking the Foundation and BV.
  • Standardize processes using MoneyBird, Bunq, and Google Workspace.
  • Create documented workflows, checklists, and templates for continuity.
  • Maintain compliance with Dutch tax and ANBI requirements.

Budgeting & Risk Management

  • Build and monitor monthly budgets, forecasts, and liquidity.
  • Track income, expenses, donations, and project profitability.
  • Identify risks and overspending early and recommend corrections.
  • Translate data into strategic financial insights for leadership.

Bookkeeping & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records for both entities.
  • Reconcile accounts, manage invoices, and ensure audit readiness.
  • Deliver monthly management reports and KPIs.
  • Support audit preparation and maintain proper documentation trails.

Payroll & Payments

  • Partner with HR to process salaries and freelance payments.
  • Verify time tracking against project data in Monday.com.
  • Manage external contractor payments and expense reimbursements.

System Optimization & Automation

  • Improve workflows through automation tools (MoneyBird, Monday.com, Zapier).
  • Build dashboards for real-time visibility of income, expenses, and cash flow.
  • Integrate systems while maintaining full foundation control.

Compliance & Legal Support

  • Ensure proper categorization of charitable vs. commercial activities.
  • Support filings, contracts, and compliance documentation.
  • Learn and apply ANBI and Dutch financial regulations with guidance from senior advisors.

You’ll receive mentorship from senior financial advisors in areas like ANBI compliance, treasury management, and legal documentation. We value:

Essential:

  • Experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling roles.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build documented systems and financial playbooks.
  • Understanding of Dutch tax or willingness to self-learn using official resources.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (MoneyBird or similar).
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and financial automation tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Self-directed learner who can work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

  • Experience managing dual-entity structures (Foundation + BV).
  • Nonprofit or ANBI finance background.
  • Experience with Monday.com, Teams, or dashboard visualization.

Work Structure

  • Hours: Up to 36 hours/week.
  • Communication: Daily check-ins via Microsoft Teams.
  • Standard work hours: 09:00–17:00 CET/CEST, tatax.
  • Reporting: Regular reviews and verified deliverables.

Compensation & Terms

  • Starting Pay: $300 USD/month (up to 36 hrs/week).
  • Growth Path: Salary increases tied to revenue growth and performance.
  • Payments: Monthly via foundation accounts (no admin fees).
  • Contract Type: Independent contractor; responsible for local tax compliance.
  • Term: 12-month renewable agreement with 14-day notice period.
  • ANBI Orientation: Completion within 30 days of onboarding.
