We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for building and operating mission-critical cloud storage services at global scale. This role offers the opportunity to manage highly skilled engineers working on distributed systems, storage technologies, cloud infrastructure, and database services that support large-scale applications worldwide.

  • Drive continuous delivery and engineering excellence within a team specializing in storage technologies, distributed systems, and high-performance backend services.
  • Lead the development, deployment, and operation of storage services that support millions of customer databases across multiple regions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across the organization to evolve platform capabilities and infrastructure services.
  • Ensure operational excellence for business-critical systems running in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Establish best practices for reliability, scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Work closely with product and engineering leadership to define and execute long-term technical strategies and roadmaps.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and remove blockers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain exceptional engineering talent.
  • Support engineers' professional growth through mentorship, coaching, and constructive feedback.
  • Develop future technical and engineering leaders within the organization.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and engineering excellence.
  • Implement effective development processes, including architecture reviews, testing standards, and operational best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing and leading software engineering teams.
  • Strong experience building and delivering storage systems, database technologies, or distributed systems where performance, reliability, and correctness are critical.
  • Experience operating large-scale cloud infrastructure and production services.
  • Familiarity with modern deployment and infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, Airflow, Spinnaker, Bazel, or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to attract, hire, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and business functions.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and product requirements in complex technical environments.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures and distributed databases.
  • Knowledge of storage engines, database internals, or infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience managing globally distributed systems and large-scale production environments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for building highly reliable systems.
