Service Summary
The Remote Draftsman will be responsible for transforming complex structural concepts into detailed, high-quality technical drawings. This role requires a deep understanding of facade systems, Australian building standards, and the ability to produce "construction-ready" documentation that ensures seamless project delivery.
Service Deliverables
- Technical Documentation: Develop detailed 2D and 3D shop drawings, sections, and assembly details for various facade systems (unitized, stick-system, curtain walls, cladding, and glazing).
- Design Accuracy: Ensure all drawings are compliant with Australian Standards (AS) and specific project BCA (Building Code of Australia) requirements.
- Material Coordination: Prepare accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and cutting lists for fabrication.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our engineers and project managers to resolve design clashes and refine structural details.
- Quality Control: Conduct self-checks on drawings to ensure precision, clarity, and consistency before submission.
Qualification
- Facade Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of dedicated experience in Facade Drafting.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level skills in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM). Proficiency in Rhino or Grasshopper is a significant advantage.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of waterproofing, thermal performance, and structural connections specific to large-scale Australian commercial or residential buildings.
- AU Experience: Proven experience working with Australian companies or projects, demonstrating familiarity with local construction methods and documentation styles.
