We are seeking an experienced Door Project Manager with deep, hands-on knowledge of the door and hardware industry to manage house-account projects from initial quote through completion. This is not a general construction project management role — we need a professional who understands how doors, frames, hardware, machining, and specifications interact in real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project lifecycle for door and hardware packages (quote to completion).
- Review customer and designer specifications for accuracy and compatibility.
- Identify errors, incompatibilities, or impractical configurations before production.
- Source products from appropriate suppliers and manufacturers.
- Coordinate with internal teams, customers, designers, and vendors.
- Handle high-volume quoting, order processing, and project tracking.
- Serve as a technical advisor, recommending alternatives and clarifying incomplete specifications.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Deep, hands-on experience in the door industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and residential doors and related hardware.
- Practical understanding of door specifications, construction, and hardware compatibility (hinges, closers, locks, frames, machining).
- Experience with door quoting and order processing.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and confidently with customers, designers, manufacturers, and suppliers.
Good-to-Haves:
- Experience with custom or specialty doors.
- Familiarity with architectural specifications and CAD/technical drawings.
- Knowledge of door machining requirements and hardware manufacturers.
