Dispatcher – Logistics Coordinator - UK Timber Company full time

  • Manage dispatch software systems and oversee driver activities on assigned loads.
  • Ensure carrier and driver compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Perform diligent checks to guarantee the safety and security of each dispatch order.
  • Handle daily reporting of dispatch activities.
  • Facilitate over-the-road breakdowns, accidents, weather delays, and
  • other route exceptions.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
  • Respond to incoming emails, chat inquiries, and new business inquiries.
  • Provide general support to all customers and coordinate with carriers to ensure positive driver feedback.
  • Confirm orders are delivered on time and resolve any issues proactively.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Proficient with computers and multiple software applications
  • Previous experience with OptimoRoute or similar route optimization tools is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and ownership of work quality.
  • Adaptable to changes in market conditions and operational demands.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ambitious, disciplined, and eager to learn additional skills in logistics and operations.
