We are seeking a competent and proactive DevOps/VPS Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure. You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and monitoring applications on our VPS/cloud environments while maintaining efficient automation pipelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and optimize Linux-based VPS servers (setup, security hardening, performance tuning).
- Install, configure, and maintain tools on a VPS such as Passbolt and other server applications.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.
- Implement and manage containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Configure and monitor infrastructure using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack.
- Ensure secure handling of credentials, access controls, and secrets management.
- Collaborate with IT, developers, and project managers to deliver infrastructure solutions.
- Maintain proper documentation of tasks, credentials, and processes for continuity.
- Troubleshoot server, network, and deployment issues quickly and effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with cloud or VPS environments (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, etc.).
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Solid understanding of networking, DNS, SSL, firewalls, and server security.
- Experience with Docker and knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Strong version control skills using Git.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and troubleshooting mindset.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Accountability for deliverables, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proactive approach to learning and adopting new tools/technologies.
- Previous experience with Passbolt or password management tools.
- Exposure to database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with compliance and data security best practices.
WORK SCHEDULE
- 36 hours/week
- Monday–Thursday | 9 AM–5 PM (Netherlands time)
- Friday | 9 AM–1 PM (Netherlands time)
COMPENSATION
- Base rate**:** $300 - $350/month (36 hrs/week)
