Job Title: Data Engineer (Remote | 4+ Years Experience)

Salary: $2,500 – $3,200 per month (based on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our growing remote team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and modern data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to ensure reliable and efficient data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Develop and optimize data workflows using tools like Airflow or similar
- Build and manage data lakes / data warehouses
- Work with large-scale datasets using distributed processing tools (e.g., Spark)
- Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks
- Optimize performance and cost efficiency of data systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and data models
- Support real-time and batch data processing systems
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow preferred)
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.)
- Experience with big data tools (Apache Spark is a plus)
- Understanding of data modeling and database design
- Experience with version control (Git) and basic DevOps practices
Nice to Have
- Experience with streaming tools like Kafka
- Familiarity with Docker / Kubernetes
- Experience working in a remote international team
- Exposure to data reliability and monitoring tools
