Firepoint Inc. is hiring an AutoCAD Technician to support commercial fire and life safety projects across Canada. This is a fully remote role for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment. You’ll work closely with our internal team to create and revise technical drawings, maintain project documentation, and help keep projects moving efficiently from planning to execution.
Work Model: 100% Remote (Home Office)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (Toronto)
Language Requirement: Intermediate to Advanced English
What You’ll Do
- Create, revise, and organize AutoCAD drawings and technical layouts based on project requirements
- Support internal project teams with drafting updates and documentation
- Maintain accurate project files and ensure drawings meet company standards and deadlines
- Communicate clearly with team members in English throughout the project lifecycle
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong technical drafting skills
- Previous experience as an AutoCAD Technician, Draftsperson, or similar technical/design role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Clear written and verbal English communication skills
- Reliable computer setup and high-speed internet for remote work
Nice to Have
- Experience with construction, engineering, fire protection, or building systems projects
- Familiarity with Canadian codes, technical standards, or permit drawings
- Experience working remotely with international teams
