As we grow, we’re looking for a motivated Sales Representative/Appointment Setter to help us build strong relationships with employers, close new placement deals, and expand our reach in the international market.
Role Overview
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying, booking meetings with international employers who are hiring remote or hybrid talent. You’ll represent Mexcro’s mission and services, educate potential clients on the value of hiring from Nigeria, and ensure a smooth onboarding process from first contact to signed agreement.
This role is remote and commission-based, ideal for someone results-driven, persuasive, and passionate about connecting people to opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
• Identify potential employers and decision-makers (startups, SMEs, agencies, and founders hiring remotely).
• Research and maintain a database of prospects via LinkedIn, job boards, and company websites.
• Craft personalized cold emails, DMs, and follow-ups to generate interest.
• Book and schedule discovery calls with potential clients.
2. Sales & Relationship Management
• Present Mexcro’s value proposition clearly and persuasively to international clients.
• Conduct discovery calls to understand hiring needs and pain points.
• Collaborate with the founder to propose suitable Nigerian candidates from our talent pool.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
3. Performance & Reporting
• Book at least 5 meetings monthly.
• Track outreach, conversions, and client interactions using CRM or Google Sheets.
• Provide weekly performance reports with insights and improvement suggestions
Compensation
• Commission-based: TBD
• Potential Base Pay: To be introduced after 6 months of consistent performance.
Ideal Candidate
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
• Have prior experience in B2B sales, recruitment, or client acquisition (3 - 7 years preferred).
• Are comfortable with cold emailing, LinkedIn outreach, and virtual meetings.
• Are persuasive, confident, and articulate in presenting ideas.
• Have a good understanding of international remote work and talent placement.
• Are self-motivated, results-oriented, and love achieving measurable goals.
