ClickUp Dashboards Guide
Overview
There are 4 dashboards I created that you can use as a template.
1. Start-Ups overview for management Dashboard
2. User tracking dashboard
3. Project dashboard (Client-specific)
4. Time tracking
The first dashboard pulls the information from the Start-Ups space, as discussed in a meeting.
Anytime you add a new Client folder in this SPACE, the dashboard would show that folder too.
However, when you need to set up client-specific dashboards (that show the data for a specific
client/project only) that you want to share with Clients, you would need to make some small
adjustments.
Namely, since you would create a new client Space/Folder every time (from the template), you
would need to tell the dashboard to pull the data from that new Space/Folder.
I have listed those adjustments in the Guide below.
Dashboard explanation
Start-Ups Overview dashboard
1. Pulls the data from the Start-Ups space
2. There is a widget that pulls the high-level data for each start-up company folder,
summarizing the progress across all lists within the folder
3. There are separate widgets for each of the start-up companies. These provide a
more detailed overview, as they show the progress of each list, instead of the
entire folder. This way, you can easily notice problems in certain stages of the
project.
User tracking dashboard
4. This dashboard shows the progress of each user who is working on a specific
project. You can either track all of your active projects/clients with this dashboard,
or, if you want to have more in-depth data, consider creating this dashboard for
each project separately.
5. Shows who is behind by counting the total number of unclear notifications and
overdue tasks
6. Shows the tasks in progress within a specific project
7. Shows the total number of overdue and completed tasks
8. Shows the number of overdue tasks, grouped by assignee
Project dashboard
1. This is a client-specific dashboard that you can share with your clients.
2. You can duplicate this template dashboard and simply adjust it to pull the data
from your new client's Space/Folder.
3. It shows the overall progress across stages of the project for a specific client
4. Shows the Overdue tasks across different stages of the project
5. Shows the workload - the number of tasks that have a specific status.
Time tracking
1. Shows the time entries over a specified period
2. You can choose to see either all time entries, for all active projects, or filter the
data to show the time entries on a specific client project.
Adjusting the Client-specific dashboards
Whenever you need to create a new dashboard to share with a new client/project, simply select
the ellipses next to the desired template dashboard (e.g. Project dashboard), duplicate it, and
rename it to match the name of your new Client.
Then, open the dashboard, click on the Settings button for each widget, and make sure to select
the appropriate Space/Folder you created for that client as the location to pull the data from.
1. For the first widget (Progress), select the desired Space/Folder or list by clicking on the
"Add lists" button in the "Add folders or Lists" section:
2. For the other widgets, select the desired Space/Folder or list within the "Location"
section.
