IT services for transportation YuRide Application for shared trips and making new friends Client YuRide YURIDE INC., a Toronto based company focused on IT solutions for passenger transportation. Challenge The client wanted to develop a solution that would help to improve connections and networking between the students of the York University (Toronto, Canada) and cut down their expenses on travelling to the campus and back. 2 our solution We developed a cross-platform (Android, iOS) mobile application enabling shared trips for the students of the York University. Either student using his/her authorization with the York University system may join the application community, find mates, who plan a trip over the same route and share travelling costs. What is more, a user gets opportunity to meet and communicate other university mates, which may result in cooperation, new projects and good f riendship relations. 3 4 what we did: developed an architecture for the solution; advised the on the technologies to employ for reliable performance; created clean, modern and user-f riendly UX/UI design; developed the solution itself: f ront- and back-end; integrated the application with a payment solution, Google Maps and York University system; advised the client on the application hosting solutions; assisted the client with uploading the application to the AppStore and Google Play.
