The next step was to update from ASP classic to ASP.NET and MVC and piece by piece migrate data from the old database to the new one. By implementing a clear separation of concerns, centralizing all code where possible and improving the efficiency of each database request, we were able to: reduce the size of the servers significantly improve the performance of the website reduced the time for future maintenance of the website changes can be made less time-consuming and complex. These changes allowed the client to significantly reduce monthly costs for servers and website maintenance. Technologies used: - SQL ASP.NET MVC Azure Hospital Special Systems Doctor Smart Drmsart Virtual Clinic is a website where you can manage several modules, including: Patients: Drsmart users (doctors and secretaries) can create patient profiles in order to keep a track of their medical history. Medical Appointments: You can set up medical appointments for all the registered patients in the system in order to keep an organized calendar. Prescriptions: Registered patients will have a prescription history where they can check the medications the doctor had previously prescribed. Clinical record: Patient’s Information is saved as posts on this module, this information is encrypted for security purposes so the patient’s data and integrity are well protected. Schedule: A very useful module since the doctor will be able to check the activities scheduled for an especific date, or the amount of medical appointments for a single month.
