Paul Murray

I’m a QA and Training Lead with over a decade of experience delivering software testing, documentation, and end-user training across government and public-finance projects in South Africa. My work focuses on bridging technical and operational needs – ensuring that systems are not only functional but understood, adopted, and trusted by the people who rely on them every day.

Most recently, I’ve worked with Baraka IT Solutions on the Department of Justice’s SAP Guardian’s Fund project. My role combines testing, defect tracking, and training development to support system rollout and stability. I’ve also been involved in process documentation, test-case management, and coordination between development and business teams.

Before that, I managed SAP authorisations and support for PwC / Guarantee Trust on the MojaPay implementation, supporting thousands of users across hundreds of locations. I built helpdesk structures, authored national training materials, and maintained compliance and access controls throughout the project lifecycle. Earlier in my career, as National Selection Manager at Guarantee Trust, I oversaw nationwide recruitment and training initiatives, managing regional teams and large data workflows.

While SAP has been central to much of my work, I’ve also built experience with a variety of tools and platforms – including Jira, Qase, and WordPress – and I’m comfortable testing or documenting non-SAP software environments. I’m currently completing a BSc in Computer Science, expanding my technical foundation in programming, software design, and data management.

My expertise in testing and my attention to detail also make me a reliable choice for any quality- or data-integrity-focused work, such as proofreading, refining documentation, or validating content accuracy.
