Video Editor (Remote) hourly

The Local Guys is looking for an experienced Video Editor to assist our marketing team with long-form video production. In addition to assembling footage in a logical and creative manner, we need multiple options for YouTube thumbnails that will drive clicks and increase viewership. You will be working directly with our Digital Content Producer, using CapCut Pro and it's in-app cloud sharing feature. A strong grasp of storytelling, pacing and attention to detail is required.

About Us:

The Local Guys is an Australian-based Franchise company, specialising in commercial cleaning, pest control, electrical test & tag and carpet cleaning. As a remote Video Editor for our team, you will help support our team by editing content filmed by our Digital Content Producer.

You'll be responsible for the majority of our video editing, working on a couple of key YouTube video formats:

• Franchise Partner Vlogs: Day in The Life/interview style
• Service Spotlight Videos: Talking head, customer-facing explainers

What you'll do:

• Edit engaging long-form videos in CapCut Pro
• Follow detailed instructions on how to edit videos to our brand standards
• Create multiple options of on-brand thumbnails
• Deliver edits within one week of receiving files
• Take feedback on-board gracefully and revise edits appropriately

About You:

• Experience in long-form video editing (story-telling, pacing, colour grading)
• Proficiency with CapCut Pro, our chosen video editing program
• Strong communication skills and the ability to take feedback well
